Soha Ahmad, MD earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She then pursued a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Southern California. While in training, Dr. Ahmad designed education projects for the community and conducted research with a focus on women and heart disease. Her research resulted in multiple publications, presentations at national meetings, and research award from her institution. Dr. Ahmad is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Ahmad has a special interest in women's heart health, prevention and cholesterol management, structural heart disease, and radial approach for coronary angiograms and interventions. Her philosophy in combating heart disease is to focus on educating her patients and the community.
She believes that patients are more compliant with their treatment plan if they have a deeper understanding of their condition and the goals that need to be achieved.
She is fluent in Arabic and conversant in Spanish and is currently accepting new patients.
In her free time, Dr. Ahmad enjoys biking and hiking. She looks forward to exploring the outdoors in Washington.
