Joseph Chang, MD, was raised in Southern California and later moved to Seattle, where he attended the University of Washington and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology. Prior to his medical training, he enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army as a combat medic and was honorably discharged in 2000.
In 2005, Dr. Chang graduated from Boston University with both his medical degree as well as a master's degree in Public Health. He completed his medical residency and fellowship at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, where he also remained for his fellowship training in Gastroenterology.
His clinical interests include all areas of gastroenterology and hepatology, including irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, inflammatory bowel disease and liver diseases.
Dr. Chang is excited about returning to this area. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, running and exploring the outdoors with his wife.
