V. Joyce Gauthier, MD, PhD, received her medical degree and PhD in immunology from the University of Washington. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Cornell Medical School in New York, and her fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Washington. Dr. Gauthier worked with Valley Orthopedics Associates before joining Valley Medical Center in 2008. Dr. Gauthier specializes in early detection and treatment of autoimmune disorders and inflammatory arthritis. She is passionate about ecotourism and travels extensively in Alaska.
