Peter Hesslein, MD received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology and electrophysiology fellowship training at Texas Children's Hospital. Dr. Hesslein practiced at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children for six years and directed the pediatric arrhythmia service at the University of Minnesota for 17 years. He joined our team in July 2012.
Dr. Hesslein specializes in electrophysiology, the study and treatment of heart rate and rhythm disturbances, utilizing the latest techniques and procedures, including three-dimensional mapping and catheter ablation. He also implants pacemaker and defibrillators, when needed, to regulate the heartbeat.
He is a member of the American Heart Association, The Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology Society, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the Heart Rhythm Society.
