Michael Hori is a native of the Northwest, spending most of his youth in Tacoma. He graduated from the University of Washington Medical School, where he also completed his Internal Medicine residency. He was Chief Resident at the Boise VA Medical Center for a year before completing his fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of California-Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He practiced in Auburn for three years before moving to the Valley Medical Center community in 1993.
Dr. Hori has been in private practice for the past 19 years in the Auburn-Renton area. His practice includes comprehensive adult heathcare and the diagnosis and management of a wide variety of infectious diseases, including osteomyelitis, endocarditis, soft-tissue and wound infections, fungal and bacterial diseases, HIV and other illnesses of the immunocompromised. He is an expert in travel medicine. He is looking forward to continued care in these disciplines.
He and his wife have three sons. He enjoys family life, skiing, camping, reading, running, swimming and bicycling. He has even survived a couple of sprint triathlons.
