Dr. Narendra received her medical degree from Kilpauk Medical University in India. Not only did she graduate, but she did so with flying colors, achieving the highest score in her class board exams. She completed her residency at St. Francis Hospital, Evanston, affiliated with the University of Illinois, Chicago in 2002. She joined Southlake Clinic after practicing five years in Chicago, leaving the Windy City for the Evergreen State.
Dr. Narendra is board-certified in Internal Medicine. She has been interested in primary care since joining medical school and places a great deal of emphasis on preventive medicine. She has special interest in adult primary care, woman’s health and geriatrics. Her training focused on health problems such as diabetes, coronary artery disease, COPD, hypertension, obesity and high cholesterol. Dr. Narendra is from India and is trilingual; she speaks two Indian dialects, which are Telugu and Tamil, as well as English.
“I strive to treat each patient the way I would want to be treated if I were in their shoes. I have made it my goal to keep ahead of the latest developments in the area of medicine. I do so by attending conferences and reading medical journals and leave no stone unturned to use my skills to the utmost benefit of my patients.” She and her husband, who is a senior manager at Microsoft, enjoy family outings with their son and daughter.
