Location: MEDICAL ARTS CENTER (MAC) AUDITORIUM—1ST FLOOR
      Status: Open
      Registration Deadline: 5/28/2015
Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide and the primary reason people become disabled. That means it's the number one reason why people can't work and can't take care of themselves. With stroke, time matters. We now have a drug that—if administered quickly—can make an enormous difference in people's lives and their livelihoods. If you know how to recognize the signs of stroke, you can influence whether a family member, friend or colleague retains their ability to walk, talk, keep their job and continue to do the things they love to do. You could also save their life. Dr. Mike Previti, medical director of the Stroke Center at Valley Medical Center is passionate about preventing casualties caused by stroke. Join him for this educational talk about stroke symptoms, how to identify a stroke, and how to react if you think someone is having a stroke.
