Registration Deadline: 1/21/2014BodyWorks is a health education program designed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The program provides parents and caregivers of teens ages 9-14 with tools to help improve family eating and activity habits. The ToolKit includes a video on healthy shopping and cooking strategies, a recipe book, food and fitness journals, and more. Some of the class topics include portion sizes, reading food labels, physical activity, overall nutrition, limiting screen time, healthy snack ideas and meal planning. The free eight-week class for parents/caregivers and their teens meets in the Medical Arts Center room E/F, at Valley Medical Center in Renton. Preregistration is required.
