Author Christine Cashen will be the keynote speaker at the first anniversary celebration of GLOW, the Valley Medical Center’s health and wellness program created by women, for women.
The celebration is from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 at the ShoWare Center in Kent.
Cashen, who lives in Dallas, Texas, is an author, creativity expert, wife, mom and humorist. She will speak about blending life, love, happiness and humor.
The health fair also includes live entertainment, dinner, door prizes, giveaways, exclusive free GLOW tote bag for all guests. Doors open at 5 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m.
GLOW started last year when more than 1,000 women attended the opening event at the ShoWare Center. There is no charge to sign up for the wellness program through Renton's Valley Medical Center.
Tickets are $20 and available at valleymed.org/glowtickets or from the ShoWare Ticket Office, 625 W. James Street, Kent, which is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
