Valley Medical recognized by City of Renton for “Celebrating” community

Earlier this week Valley Medical Center (VMC) was recognized by the City of Renton for its sponsorship and support of the City of Renton *“Celebration Trailer.” Renton Mayor Denis Law and members of the Renton City Council presented VMC CEO, Rich Roodman, with a commemorative plaque during a regularly scheduled City Council meeting on Monday.

The Celebration Trailer travels to events, such as Renton River Days, Renton’s Fabulous Fourth, and ribbon-cutting events and dedications, to support the logistics and operations needed at each of the activities.

“The City of Renton hosts a number of events each year creating opportunities for people to gather and celebrate as a community,” said Mayor Law. “Valley Medical Center has been a focal point in our community for nearly 65 years – responsible largely for the health of our community. We are extremely grateful not only for their support, but also for the wonderful partnership we have established and grown over the many years.”

The sponsorship allows VMC to “wrap” the trailer in images of the hospital, clinics, and community. The visibility provided by this ‘moving billboard,’ highlights VMC’s role as an integral partner in the community and will serve as a reminder that quality healthcare is in Renton’s backyard.
