The Diabetes Center

Control your diabetes, live your life

VMC has the tools to help you reclaim your good health

Its costs are both direct—billions in lost productivity—and intangible: a life lived less fully, a parent lost too soon, chances missed. At The Diabetes Center we understand a variety of tools are necessary when diabetes is present. Education, resources, help, and inspiration can help you manage the disease of diabetes—so that diabetes doesn’t manage you.

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) offers guidelines to ensure that those with diabetes receive the most up-to-date information available. The Diabetes Center, an ADA-recognized program, offers a team of highly trained nurses and registered dietitians. These specialists lead a variety of classes and individual consultations. They can help, whether you have just been diagnosed with diabetes or have been living with the disease for many years.

Classes offered by The Diabetes Center are typically covered by insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid (DSHS). Valley Medical Center will bill your insurance company directly for these education services.
