The Breast Center at Valley Medical Center is now pleased to offer professional massage therapy geared to the need of the individual.
Massage improves health and well-being both physically and mentally. Massage relieves stress related disorders, headaches, pain, fatigue and other discomforts.
Our Services
Choose from a selection of massage services. Here's a brief description of our offerings:
Swedish Massage: This is the most common type of massage. It consists of long strokes, kneading, friction, and stretching of the muscle tissue. It promotes relaxation, improves blood circulation, relieves tension and increases range of motion.

Shiatsu: This is Japanese style massage and involves the application of slow, deep pressure to specific points on the body. It is especially good for easing headaches, digestive problems, and overall health enhancement. No oil is used and this is done over clothes or patient gown.

Bowen Technique: This technique can be done over the clothing and addresses the spinal and structural needs of the body. It is a great way to relieve pain.

Reflexology: This massage works the feet and/or hands. It is good for sinus pain, PMS, chronic muscle pain and many other issues.

Deep Tissue: This massage is similar to Swedish and involves slow, deep pressure and strokes. Friction is often used and it rejuvenates the deeper layers of muscle tissue.

About Us:
Joani Glasser, MS, LMP, RYT
Joani has been a licensed massage therapist for 20 years in Florida and Washington. She also teaches Yoga at the Valley Fitness Center and in the community. She began her practice with Shiatsu and has treated thousands of people for pain relief, relaxation and has comforted many from stress related disorders. She also has a background as a science teacher and nurse.
