BodyWorks Teen Health Education

BodyWorks Teen Health Education

Family outside their home

BodyWorks is a free health education program developed by the Federal Department of Health and Human Services. This ten-week program is designed to provide parents and caregivers of teenagers ages 9 to 16 with tools to improve family eating and activity habits.

BodyWorks focuses on parents as role models and includes a video on healthy shopping and cooking strategies, a recipe book, and food and fitness journals. Daughters and sons are encouraged to attend.

Sessions are sponsored by the Valley Medical Center Medical Staff.

Teens & parents: attend ten FREE Tuesday evening sessions (6:30 – 8:00 pm). (We request that parents or caregivers commit to attending all ten meetings.)
