Primary and Urgent Care

Primary and Urgent Care

Primary care providers—
Your partner in health

Primary care—or family medicine—provides continuing and comprehensive healthcare for everyone in the family: babies, toddlers, teens, adults, the elderly and pregnant women. Whether a family practitioner, an internist, an obstetrician-gynecologist or a pediatrician, your VMC primary care provider monitors your general health, addresses many medical concerns directly at the clinic office, and will refer you to specialists and surgeons when necessary.

Urgent care
Immediate medical services

For ailments that aren’t life-threatening, VMC’s urgent care clinics eliminate the wait and expense of the ER, and offer immediate access to healthcare when you need it. Enjoy walk-in appointments and after-hours care for acute illness, minor injuries, flu shots, DOT and sports physical exams, pregnancy tests, back strain, x-rays and other ambulatory services. Still unsure whether to go to the ER or urgent care? Read this article by the "New York Times."
