Charity Care Program Provides Safety Net for Our Community
As a public district hospital, Valley Medical Center is committed to providing the best care possible to every patient, regardless of ability to pay. Uncompensated care regularly accounts for more than 10 percent of our annual operating revenue. In 2007, Valley Medical provided $38.1 million in charity care; in 2008 3,035 individual patients were given assistance. Individuals are qualified based on financial documentation to ensure we help as many people as possible according to their need.
