Pre-Employment Assessment
These assessment tests are offered 7:30 am–4:00 pm, Monday–Friday in Human Resources, 3901 Talbot Road South in Renton.
LPN
Valley Medical Center requires that all LPN candidates complete an online application, then take and pass a pre-employment test. This test has approximately 25 multiple-choice questions, mostly calculating medications. You are allowed to bring a calculator with you. If you do not pass the test, you will be allowed to retake the test after two (2) business days.
CNA
Valley Medical Center requires that all PCA candidates complete an online application then take and pass a pre-employment test. This test has approximately 32 multiple-choice questions regarding patient care. If you do not pass the test, you must wait two (2) weeks before retaking this test.
MST/ER MED SURG TECH
Valley Medical Center requires EMT and CNA candidates applying for a med surg tech position to complete an online application then take and pass a pre-employment test. This test is multiple choice and has approximately 29 questions regarding patient care. If you do not pass the test, you must wait two (2) weeks before retaking this test.
TECHNICAL/ADMITTING/CLERICAL
Please be advised you may be required to take a typing, computer proficiency, medical terminology, spelling, filing, and/or 10-key test upon being interviewed, depending on the position you are being interviewed for. If required, the interviewing manager will inform you to call Human Resources to schedule an appointment for the appropriate test.
Behavioral-Based Survey
Finalist candidates will be invited to take a behavioral-based survey. This survey includes about 120 questions and takes approximately 20 minutes.
