Biography
Dr. Block received his undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago majoring in chemistry. He earned his medical degree at Ohio State University and went on to complete his residency at University of Michigan Medical Center and Ohio State University Hospitals. He completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Washington. He has special interest in heart failure and pacemakers.
Prior to joining Southlake Clinic in 1982, Dr. Block had a private practice in Burien, Washington. During his tenure here he has been the co-director of the CCU, served as President of Southlake Clinic, and Chief Medical Officer for Valley Medical Center. Dr. Block is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases.

Dr.Block is married with three children and two grandchildren. His interests include skiing, sailing, golfing and keeping physically fit.

Dr. Busch is a native of Eastern Washington and completed college at Emory University in Atlanta followed by medical school in New York City at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Busch returned to Washington State to complete his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Washington. Between residency and fellowship, Dr. Busch worked for two years as an attending physician at Harborview Medical Center's Emergency Department.
Dr. Busch is interested in general cardiology including the treatment of coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, and dyslipidemia. He has strong interests in invasive angiography as well as non-invasive imaging including nuclear, echo, and cardiac computed tomography. Dr. Busch's patient care philosophy is to work as a team with his patients to provide excellent patient centered care. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Diseases.
Outside of work, Dr. Busch and his wife enjoy travel, yoga, spending time with their family, and taking their dog to the many local dog parks.

Dr. Ellen H. Chen is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she completed her Internal Medicine residency training. She received her Cardiovascular Medicine training at the University Hospitals of Cleveland and Interventional Cardiology training at Ohio State University. Prior to joining Southlake Clinic, Dr. Chen was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Ohio State University.
She was also a faculty member at the Medical College of Wisconsin following completion of her Cardiovascular Medicine training. Dr. Chen is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology. In addition to general cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology, she also has interest in peripheral vascular disease.
As a cardiovascular medicine specialist, she sees her role as that of an educator/advisor to help patients make informed choices about their cardiac health care in a respectful and trusting patient-physician relationship. In her free time Dr. Chen enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, or just "hanging out" with family and friends.

Dr. Choudhury graduated from medical school in 1986 at the top of his class at Gauhati University, India and pursued his residency in internal medicine from the University of Wisconsin Medical School, Milwaukee Clinical Campus, Milwaukee. He also completed his cardiovascular fellowship in 1997 from the same program. He is Board Certified both in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Choudhury was in private practice in Tulare County, California before moving to the Seattle area to join Southlake Clinic in 2003. A highly skilled interventional cardiologist with broad clinical experience in the field of cardiovascular medicine, he has additional interest in the management of peripheral vascular diseases.
Dr. Choudhury is married to Neeti Choudhury, also a physician. They have two daughters. Dr. Choudhury loves the outdoors and likes to spend time with his family going skiing, hiking and traveling.

Dr. Martin hails originally from New England. He attended the University of Rhode Island for three years before joining the US Navy and moving to the West Coast. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and his medical degree from the University of Arizona. He completed his residency and cardiology fellowship training at Maricopa County Hospital in Phoenix. This was followed by a year of post doctoral study in the department of bioengineering at ASU, after which he joined the cardiology and critical care staff at Maricopa County.
Dr. Martin moved to the Seattle area in 1993 and joined Southlake Clinic in 1998. He is Board Certified in Cardiology and Critical Care, is a member of the clinical faculty of the family practice residency, and the Director of Cardiac Rehab services at Valley Medical Center.
Dr. Martin and his wife Trish (who is also a physician) have five children, three grand children and a black lab named Mulligan. He is a member of the Sahalee Country Club where he plays to a 7 handicap and unsucessfully competes for a club championship on a yearly basis.

Dr. Nemanich serves as Medical Director of Interventional Cardiology for Valley Medical Center. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois and received his medical degree from the University of Illinois. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Chicago.
He moved to Seattle in 1985 and completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Washington. Dr. Nemanich is Board Certified in Internal Medicine,Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology. In addition to general cardiology his special interests are heart failure treatment, invasive/interventional cardiology and coronary stenting.
He joined Southlake Clinic in 1988. Dr. Nemanich and his wife live in the Seattle area. In his spare time he enjoys windsurfing, snow skiing, hiking and gardening.
