Dr. Friedman joined the Renton Pediatrics family in the summer of 1999. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and completed his residency in Pediatrics at Texas Children's Hospital and the Ben Taub General Hospital.
Dr. Friedman is a third-generation, Seattle native and valedictorian of Franklin High School. He attended Cornell University, where he graduated with distinction in all subjects.

Dr. Gaunt grew up in the Midwest where he graduated from Washington University School of Medicine. Being an avid outdoorsman brought him to Seattle to finish his pediatric training as a fellow in Adolescent Medicine at the University of Washington. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and began private practice in 1977. He has been very active in many local and state physician groups in efforts to improve our children's health:

Dr. Gaunt served for three years as Chief of Pediatrics at Valley Medical Center.

In 1985, he succeeded in getting the Renton community to pass a referendum to start fluoridating its water system.

In 1983, Dr. Gaunt received the Distinguished Service Award by the Washington Chapter of Pediatrics for the passage of state legislation requiring car seats.

He has served as the medical director for PICC (http://www.picc.net), the treatment center in Kent for drug-affected babies, since its foundation in 1990.

The greatest joys for Dr. Gaunt are his two sons and his wife. He enjoyed many activities with his sons in Boy Scouts now is on a dragon boat team with his wife.

Dr. Gaunt is accepting new patients from families currently in his practice and new families from Renton or Seattle.
