Hien Pham, MD was born in Vietnam. Her family escaped her country in a boat in 1989. She spent four years in the refugee camp in Philippines. She received her training at the University of Washington including her bachelor's degree in biochemistry, M.D., residency, and nephrology fellowship. She is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. In addition, she is also a board certified hypertension specialist.
Prior to joining Valley Medical Center Nephrology Clinic, Dr. Pham worked at Harborview Medical Center for 5 years. In addition, Dr. Pham was the medical director the Harborview Hypertension Clinic from 2014-2016. She also worked as a Clinical Assistance Professor for the University of Washington from 2013-2016.
I believe in patient-centered care. My goal is to provide the highest quality health care services to all of our patients with kidney disease. I enjoy working with patients from different cultures and traditions. I especially love to involve patients and families in making choices about their healthcare.
Clinical Interests: end stage renal disease, hypertension, glomerulonephritis ,diabetic kidney disease and chronic kidney disease.
Ping pong, gardening and koi fish. Furthermore, she likes to spend time with her husband and two children.
