Valley Medical Center treats more heart attack patients than any other hospital in Seattle's south end, while Swedish performs thousands of cardiac surgeries and procedures each year. Physicians at both facilities treat patients with proven standardized treatment plans that have been developed as part of our collaborative effort.
From balloon angioplasty and advanced imaging to bypass surgery and new drug protocols, the alliance between Swedish and Valley provides a multidisciplinary approach to treating your specific cardiac condition. The benefit to you is effective and comprehensive care that's coordinated by some of the most experienced medical teams in the Northwest.
The Latest Technologies
The alliance with Swedish brings many of the newest cardiac advances into your neighborhood. Never before have there been so many options to treat heart disease. At Valley Medical Center, we have a special nursing unit devoted to diagnosing and treating patients with chest pain. Our affiliated cardiologists have helped develop new catheterization technologies, while Swedish surgeons use the latest minimally invasive and other leading edge surgical techniques. As a group, the members of our cardiac care team are leaders in the field, with knowledge of late-breaking research results and clinical findings as well as the newest and most innovative procedures.
The alliance with Swedish gives qualifying Valley Medical Center patients access to cardiac research protocols that are available at few other places in the country. And if you require the sophisticated surgeries or procedures that can only be performed at Swedish, your local cardiologist will still direct your care.
