The Wound Clinic at Valley Medical Center provides care for patients with wounds that do not heal for various reasons, such as venous or arterial insufficiency or pressure. Our ARNP's also see patients pre- and post- operatively for ostomy assessment and care.

    Biography

    Dr. Leonheart has interests in diabetic limb salvage, wound care and sports medicine but enjoys treating all foot and ankle problems.

    He graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1991. He completed his surgical reconstructive residency at The Podiatry Hospital of Pittsburgh/ The Western Pennsylvania Hospital. He has been the past Assistant Medical Director of the Western Pennsylvania Foot and Ankle Institute. He was also the Chairman of Surgery at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and the Residency director of the Podiatric Surgical Residency program at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.

    Dr. Leonheart is board-certified in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. He also currently serves on the Washington State Podiatric Medical Association executive board. Outside interests include all types of athletic activity and exercise, home improvement projects and reading.
