Clinical/Non-Clinical
Placements, Internships, and Externships
Valley Medical Center’s student program partners with
technical schools, 2-year colleges, and universities to provide a meaningful
education experience and establish a recruiting network for the organization.
The program also strives to support departments throughout the VMC network in
order to place students in coordinated standardized fashion that meets the
needs of the student, the department, and the organization.
Valley Medical Center offers a variety of student
educational experiences with schools that have entered into education
affiliation agreements with the organization. We will work with schools to
assist the student in gaining the hands-on experience needed to complete the
education curriculum, while offering an enjoyable environment in which to
learn.
Placement for Observation Experiences is as follows:
***If you are not with a school but interested in observing, please reach out to the HR Training Coordinator
The VMC Student Placement Process is as follows:
Students must contact their school, college or university’s
placement coordinator if there is an interest in completing an
externship/internship with Valley Medical Center. *Important note – If the
student contacts Valley Medical Center directly, she/he will be directed to
contact their school’s placement coordinator.
Initial Instructions for School Placement Coordinators:
Submit a Student Placement Request to the appropriate individual (see below for contacts).
- Please note that we will not continue with the onboarding process until the student placement request has been submitted and approved by our team.
Verify with your contact if you have an established, updated Education Affiliation Agreement with Valley Medical Center. If you do not have an Educational Affiliation Agreement with Valley Medical Center, please complete the following form (without signatures) for preliminary review by your contact: Educational Affiliation Agreement Template (clinical) / Educational Affiliation Agreement Template (non-clinical)
