Allison Binkerd attended the University of Washington School of Pharmacy where she received her PharmD. She is interested in oncology, cardiology, and transitions of care and plans to pursue a PGY2 in oncology. Allison was born and raised in Washington and enjoys hiking and backpacking the many trails of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She also loves to read, bake, and watch telenovelas in her free time.

Brilliana Hou attended the University of Washington School of Pharmacy where she received her PharmD and Plein Certificate in Geriatrics. She is interested in ambulatory care and enjoys working with patients to help with medication optimization and education. In her free time, Brilliana enjoys watching Korean Dramas, baking, and, of course, going on hikes to enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Kristi Kajita attended the University of Washington School of Pharmacy where she received her PharmD and Plein Certificate in Geriatrics. She is interested in ambulatory and acute care. In her free time, Kristi spends most of her time exploring new restaurants, experimenting with cooking Japanese cuisine, and baking chocolate chip cookies. During Covid-times Kristi is also attempting to learn how to embroider like the true grandma she is.

“I chose Valley because of the optimal learning environment provided here. The preceptors are all welcoming and dedicate themselves to resident learning. Their ultimate goal is to make you an independent, excellent clinical pharmacist. In addition, Valley’s community is team-focused. Rachel Kokoczka has a background in drug discovery, specifically researching drug targets in M. tuberculosis. She attended the University of Washington School of Pharmacy where she received her PharmD in 2019. Rachel is excited to continue her pharmacy career with a focus on ICU and Emergency Medicine. Her hobbies include travelling to Disney, wine tasting, skiing, trying new recipes, and spending quality time with her cats.

“As a pharmacy student, I had a rotation at Valley and witnessed how pharmacists are respected as integral members of the health care team. I was looking for a residency program that could provide me with opportunities to directly participate in patient care and where I would gain experience with progressive CDTAs. In addition, the preceptors at Valley are truly invested in helping residents grow into confident clinical pharmacists!”
