Ethan Chang, DO, is a family medicine physician at Valley Family Medicine who values community, patient education, and healthy lifestyle in his practice. He was born and raised on the island of O’ahu, Hawai’i. He earned a degree in chemistry from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL, where he found his passion for holistic medicine and started volunteering in physical therapy, acupuncture, and primary clinics. He found himself drawn to osteopathic medicine and attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences- College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Northwest in Lebanon, Oregon. He completed a pre-doctoral teaching fellowship where he spent a year teaching medical students and developing his skills in osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT).
Dr. Chang is happy to be in the Pacific Northwest and a part of the Valley Medical Center team. He chose family medicine because he believes in empowering patients through education and collaboration. Outside of medicine, he enjoys exploring nature, restaurants, serving in his church community, and engaging in sports. Frequently, he can be found cooking, baking, playing board games, gardening and spending quality time with his family and friends.
