Rachel Dubay, MD, is a family medicine physician and Chief Resident at Valley Family Medicine. She was born in Plymouth, Minnesota. Prior to medical school at University of Minnesota, she worked as a nursing assistant in a long-term care facility. This job helped her discover her love of getting to know her patients and their stories. She quickly found her calling in family medicine, particularly enjoying obstetrics, mental health, palliative care, and education. After completion of her residency, she hopes to pursue fellowship training in advanced obstetrics, continue to practice full-spectrum family medicine, and teach at the residency level.
Dr. Dubay is grateful to be continuing her training at Valley Medical Center, a program full of individuals who share a passion for social justice and providing patient-centered care to diverse and underserved communities. In her free time, she enjoys a semi-regular yoga practice, spending time with her husband and being active and outdoors through hiking, biking and backpacking. On a rainy day you can find her curled up on the couch with her cat and a good book.
