Victor Estacio, MD joined the hospitalist team at Valley Medical Center in 2013. His professional passions include the application of evidence-based medicine and patient empowerment to make informed decisions about their own healthcare. Dr. Estacio also values hospital-based interventions such as early mobilization to improve outcomes as well as post-discharge quality of life. Acute volume management in decompensated heart failure, renal failure, and decompensated end-stage liver disease are some of his special interests.
Dr. Estacio obtained his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degree from University of the Philippines in Manila, Philippines, graduating within the top 10 of his medical school class. He joined his family in the United States after his graduation, where he trained in internal medicine for three years at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Estacio moved to the Seattle area with his wife, where he provided care with Southlake Clinic before joining Valley Medical Center.
Since moving to the area, he and his wife have fallen in love with the beauty of the Evergreen State. They like to spend their leisure time together exploring and travelling as much as possible. Dr. Estacio speaks Filipino (Tagalog).
