(Zeva) Daniela Herzog, MD, is a family medicine physician at Valley Family Medicine. She is a Canadian-Israeli-American and “where are you from?” is never an easy question for her to answer. Her family moved regularly throughout the US, Canada and Israel, eventually settling in Victoria, British Columbia. Throughout all these moves, she developed a deep-rooted love for the outdoors and no matter where she lives, home has always been found by simply pitching a tent in the nearest national or state park.
While studying anthropology at Cornell University, she continued to indulge her love of international traveling, working on research projects in Madagascar and Nepal. She then worked in a neuropathic pain research lab at Massachusetts General Hospital before starting her medical training. She chose to pursue medical school at Ben Gurion University in Israel to fulfill both a deep interest in global health as well as to reconnect with her heritage. She is thrilled to be back in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and dog.
