Biography

Rodney Riedel, MD, received his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Valley Medical Center. He also completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Connecticut. He is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Riedel enjoys taking care of people of all ages and treating a variety of medical problems. He applies his sports medicine background and training to treat aches and pains in all age groups, and is a proponent of exercise and developing healthy habits to maintain overall health. In his previous practice he worked with the local high school to care for students and student athletes and he is excited to continue that care in Maple Valley.

Dr. Riedel went to high school at Kentridge. After practicing medicine in New York for 10 years, he is happy to return to the northwest and be close to home.

In addition to practicing medicine Dr. Riedel enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Together they enjoy an active lifestyle through skiing, running, soccer, and exploring nature. They are all very excited to be a part of the Maple Valley community.

Richard Wall, MD, is board-certified in pulmonary diseases, critical care and sleep disorders medicine. He is Medical Director of the Critical Care Unit at Valley Medical Center. Dr. Wall has expertise designing and leading large quality improvement initiatives in healthcare settings. He is especially interested in developing novel strategies to improve the care of critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. Dr. Wall was born and raised in San Francisco. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University (Washington DC) and completed residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN). After residency, he remained at Vanderbilt as Chief Resident, spent two years studying quality improvement with the VA National Quality Scholars Program and obtained his Master of Public Health degree. He returned to the West Coast in 2003 to complete a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at University of Washington. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the piano and various outdoor activities, including hiking, snow skiing and mountain biking.
