Ryan Schickerling, PA-C, has an interest in the surgical treatment of diseases involving the peripheral arteries and veins. Ryan has spent the majority of his practice in the operating room treating patients with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular diseases. This initial exposure to a wide array of diseases brought him to the realization that he was most fascinated with treating patients with peripheral vascular diseases.
Originally from Illinois, Ryan grew up in Naperville, a suburb 30 minutes west of Chicago. He received his undergraduate degree from University of Iowa, where he initially found his passion for medicine while working on the burn and trauma unit at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. He returned back to Illinois to attend physician assistant school at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and received his master's degree.
Ryan’s passion for the outdoors brought his attention to the state of Washington in search for a more outdoor-centered lifestyle. While not working with the vascular surgery team at Valley Medical Center, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, and playing guitar.
