Laura Grantham, PA-C, practices general rheumatology seeing patients with all manners of inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, pseudogout, systemic lupus, mixed connective tissue disease, ankylosing spondylitis, scleroderma, polymyalgia rheumatica, Sjogren’s Syndrome, myositis, sarcoidosis, and inflammatory vasculitis syndromes.
Laura is excited about the important advances that have occurred in rheumatology over the past two decades and believes in bringing the best evidence-based medicine to her patients. She is passionate about learning about the lives of her patients in order to provide exemplary treatments that improve quality of life on a personal level. She graduated from Duke University in 2014 with her Masters in Health Science completing their Physician Assistant Program. Prior to her education at Duke she worked as an Athletic Trainer for 9 years.
Laura moved to Washington in 2016. Prior to living in Washington, she had been many places due her father’s Naval career. She feels that Washington is the most beautiful place that she has lived with wonderful people. Outside of work Laura enjoys hiking, reading, yoga, gardening, cheering on the Duke Blue Devils, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
