    Biography

    Navanshu Arora, MD, is a University of Missouri-Kansas City fellowship-trained physician specializing in Hematology & Oncology. He offers expeditious consultation and comprehensive evaluation and treatment for all cancer-related conditions.

    In 2008, Dr. Arora received an award for “Top 10 Doctors” which recognizes patient satisfaction. He has contributed to more than 20 publications and actively pursued teaching students and residents in the University of Missouri School of Medicine. Dr. Arora held the position of docent for UMKC students and won the outstanding docent award. He was also elected as a Fellow for the American College of Physicians.

    He did enroll the highest number of patients through the cooperative group trials for two years running. He also has been a principal investigator in a breast cancer trial.

    Biography

    Dr. Cui practices general medical oncology/hematology. Her goal is to provide care for each patient with the most current evidence/science-based medicine. From her research background, she enjoys educating patients and their family members, and welcomes them to participate in the decision-making process during the course of diagnosis and treatment.

    Dr. Cui received her medical degree from Beijing Medical University. Her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics was at University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. Her internship and residency in internal medicine were at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She finished her hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Washington/Fred Hutchinson Cancer research Center in 2003.

    She gained experiences both as a primary oncologist/hematologist caring for community patients, and as a consulting hematologist/oncologist at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), providing second opinions or continuity care for patients with complicated diagnostic or treatment challenges. She most recently worked with Southlake Clinic before joining Valley Medical Oncology & Hematology.

    Biography

    Navjot Dhillon, MD, is a trained hematologist-oncologist with expertise in multidisciplinary cancers. As a medical oncologist who cares for people with cancer, her goal is to establish trust with her patients and create supportive relationships with them and their families so that we can build an individualized care plan together. As a lifelong sportswoman, she knows the importance of teamwork and is cognizant of the strength it gives each member.

    Dr. Dhillon completed medical school in India in 2003, and went on to receive her internal medicine residency training at University of Alabama at Birmingham at the serene Montgomery campus. Following that she completed phase-1 clinical trial fellowship at the world-renowned MD Anderson Center of Cancer in Houston and has also worked at MD Anderson as a clinical coordinator in the Department of Investigational Cancer Therapeutics, Division of Cancer Medicine. She then completed her hematology & oncology fellowship at Louisiana State University in the 'The Big Easy' city of New Orleans.

    Dr. Dhillon is a board-certified physician with the American Board of Internal Medicine, both in internal medicine and medical oncology, and has worked in California and New Zealand as part of a multidisciplinary group(s) of cancer specialists. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and enjoying the gorgeous outdoors.

    Biography

    Wayne Gao, MD is board-certified in hematology and medical oncology. He has experience in the diagnosis and management of blood diseases and cancer-related issues. With his distinctive background, he offers advanced, comprehensive, and evidence-based treatment options to patients. He believes that it is important to pay attention to quality in every aspect of patient care, both medical and non-medical. During the care process, he aims to develop personal relationships with patients so he can customize their care to make them as happy and comfortable as possible.

    Dr. Gao received his MD/PhD from Soochow University Medical School in China. He then joined the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis for research and clinical training. There, he was promoted to a faculty position. He investigated how people develop clotting and bleeding disorders, and his research has been published in leading international academic journals. He completed his residency at SSM St. Mary’s Health Center and then further expanded his credentials with a fellowship at the University of Washington/Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center for hematology/oncology. Prior to joining the Valley Medical Center Oncology clinic, Dr. Gao was the highest performing consulting hematologist/oncologist at Kaiser Permanente Tacoma Medical Center.

    Keith Leung, MD, believes that the ideal practice of Hematology/Oncology involves the integration of the current evidence based practices with a personal understanding of the patient and their beliefs and support system. “For a patient, the many unknowns of a diagnosis can frequently be overwhelming and worrisome. It is vital that we help patients and their families understand their condition and their options, and assist them in choosing the one that is right for them.”

    Dr. Leung grew up in Michigan and received his bachelor's and medical degree from the University of Michigan. He then obtained his internal medicine training at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Afterwards, he spent time furthering his clinical expertise as an attending physician at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Thomas Jefferson University. His interest in Hematology/Oncology led him to Boston where he completed his fellowship at Tufts Medical Center. The beauty of the Northwest and the opportunity to join the skilled and compassionate team at Valley Medical Center ultimately drew him here.

    Dr. Leung enjoys continually learning in his spare time, whether it is the latest medical studies or time-tested cooking recipes. He is fluent in English, Cantonese and basic Mandarin.

    Jaycee Wong, ARNP, is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in medical oncology and hematology. She has a clinical interest in breast and gynecologic cancers. Jaycee earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Seattle University, and she holds a national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is dedicated to building a caring and trusting partnership with patients and empowering patients to make informed decisions that align with their goals and values.

    “Being in oncology gives me an opportunity to establish meaningful relationships with patients and families during some of the most difficult and vulnerable times.     Michelle Zhang, MD, obtained her medical degree from Beijing Medical University and did her post-doctorate training at the University of Southern California. She completed her internal medicine residency at Brown Medical School affiliated hospitals in Providence, Rhode Island. She gained extensive experience in the field of internal medicine working as an attending physician at Labey Clinic in Boston, Baylor-Methodist Primary Care Associates in Houston. Dr Zhang completed her medical oncology fellowship at the University of Washington/Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. During her training she was the Principle Investigator of a clinical trial in the treatment of hematological malignancy. Dr. Zhang is board-certified in medical oncology.

    Dr.Zhang and her husband, also a physician, live in Bellevue with their three children. She loves the outdoors, music and reading.
