    Naomi Belayneh, DNP, ARNP, she enjoys working with both older adults and the under-served, with the goal of maximizing their quality of life. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center specializing in Geriatrics/Gerontology. Ms. Belayneh completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) as an Adult-Gerontology nurse practitioner at the University of Washington. During her DNP studies, she was awarded a traineeship through the grant-supported Comprehensive Geriatric Education Program and has been inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Ms. Belayneh received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Washington and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) from Seattle University.

    Prior to joining UW Medicine | Valley Medical Center, Ms. Belayneh practiced complex care management for older adults with acute and chronic disease. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family. She is fluent in both English and Amharic.

    Biography

    Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Michele Despreaux, MD, FACP brings more than twenty years’ experience caring for patients with complex medical conditions. Her special interest in caring for seniors includes aging issues such as memory loss, frailty, osteoporosis, diabetes and hypertension.

    “I chose internal medicine as a field because it gives me the opportunity to provide comprehensive care to many different types of patients,” says Dr. Despreaux. “I listen to my patients and partner with them to meet their health needs, giving everyone personal and individualized care.”

    A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Despreaux held the Chief Residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital (affiliated with Yale Medical School) while training in Internal Medicine. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed her undergraduate degree with Highest Honors from University of Virginia. For more than 20 years, she shared her passion for the profession by teaching residents and medical students at the University of Washington.

    In her free time, Dr. Despreaux enjoys watching her sons play sports and volunteering at their schools. In addition to boating and fishing in the Puget Sound, she likes to read, cook and spend time with good friends.

    Lindsay Nofziger, ARNP, AGNP-C, provides primary care to adult and geriatric populations with complex medical problems.
