The Desimone Levee on the Green River failed and is under repair. The hospital is above the flood zone and currently in no danger of flooding. We evacuated our Time Square and Kent Station Clinics and our Lind Avenue locations. Several locations are experiencing staffing issues due to severe traffic impacts. Impacted patients are being contacted to reschedule appointments. Please be safe, do not drive or walk through standing water, and call 9-1-1 if you need emergency evacuation assistance.

Sleep Center’s Recently Upgraded Diagnostic System

Author: Suzanne Krell, MD, Sleep Medicine

Do you have adult or pediatric patients with sleep issues? Valley Medical Center has an in-house comprehensive Sleep Center, which serves both adult and pediatric patients and provides both hospital-based and home sleep testing. The Sleep Center recently underwent a major upgrade to their hospital-based diagnostic system and are now using Natus Sleepworks.

You can refer your adult patients who are experiencing sleep issues to the Valley Sleep Clinic and pediatric patients can be referred to the Valley Pediatric Sleep Clinic. When the referral is received, the patient is scheduled for a consultation with a provider who will request the appropriate study. Once the study is performed, scored and interpreted, the results are sent directly to Epic. The sleep physician will follow up with the patient and make recommendations for a CPAP or other treatments as needed.

If you have questions about adult sleep medicine, please contact Dr. Krell at Suzanne_Krell@valleymed.org

For pediatric sleep medicine patients, please contact Dr. Joseph at Kevin_Joseph@valleymed.org
