Facilitated by: Cancer Lifeline.
Brought to you by Valley Girls and Guys.

Stroke Club

Valley Medical Center is host to the most active Stroke Club in the Puget Sound region. Stroke survivors and caregivers are invited to attend this monthly meeting to share experiences, make supportive friends and learn new skills. Meets the second Tuesday of the month. Reservations not required. Parents and newborns to 8 months in age. Meets every Wednesday from 1 PM to 2:30 PM. Registration is free!

Healing Hearts

This support group is open to current cardiac rehab patients, alumni patients, as well as their loved ones and caretakers. Healing Hearts provides a supportive, inclusive and inspiring environment for patients to connect, learn more about their condition, and improve their quality of life. The Healing Hearts Support Group meets once every other month with discussions around various heart-related topics.

Gluten Intolerance & Celiac Disease

The Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG) is a non-profit organization that provides an extensive range of educational information on numerous aspects of celiac disease and other gluten-related disorders, including how to eat safely in restaurants, what to do about gluten in medications, and how to use gluten-free grains. This local GIG Branch meets at Valley Medical Center the third Tuesday of every month from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

Parenting Connections

Find a community for you and your child by connecting with a group of new parents to share the feelings, needs and challenges of older, more active crawlers and toddlers. The little ones play together while parents build lifelong friendships in a safe, consistent setting. Continuing support, education and resources for parents. Get out of the house and join in. Parents and children from 9 months to 2 years. Meets every Wednesday from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. Registration is free!

Adjusting to Parenting

Is my baby doing OK? Am I doing OK? Join other new parents to ask questions and talk about finding your new "normal". Share worries and celebrations and resources. Learn about infant play, development, health, safety, feeding and sleeping and create friendships for yourself and your child. Real people, real life, real honest discussion.

The Friends Project

Children with special needs and their siblings are invited to come to Children’s Therapy Center to meet first responders and enjoy fun activities. The Friends Project inspiration came from a Children’s Therapy parent whose mission is to create an on-going program where first responders and the special needs community establish a positive relationship of education and trust.

Creative Art Development Class

Children will be provided an opportunity to learn through a variety of sensory experiences by participating in art activities. Art Activities can be used as an opportunity to allow children to develop social skills, express emotions, follow structural activities and improve coping skills.
