The Desimone Levee on the Green River failed and is under repair. The hospital is above the flood zone and currently in no danger of flooding. We evacuated our Time Square and Kent Station Clinics and our Lind Avenue locations. Several locations are experiencing staffing issues due to severe traffic impacts. Impacted patients are being contacted to reschedule appointments. Please be safe, do not drive or walk through standing water, and call 9-1-1 if you need emergency evacuation assistance.

COVID-19 Safety and Infection Prevention Plan

5/26/2020
Author: VMC Incident Command Center

During the pandemic, VMC has implemented interventions and measures based on guidance from several key industry authorities including Washington State Department of Health (DOH), Occupational Health and Safety (DOSH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to ensure our staff, patients, and visitors are safe while in our facilities. While we’ve communicated these measures to staff and providers in our Command Center briefings, we have also compiled them into a written plan for your reference. This plan will be updated by your VMC Safety, Infection Prevention, and Infectious Disease experts as VMC makes process changes in alignment with local, state and federal guidance.

Your safety and the safety of our patients is, and always will be our core value, and we are doing everything we can to keep you safe. Please review the policy to learn more about our comprehensive safety plan on the COVID19 Incident Advisory page.*

*The Incident Advisory page requires a VMC log-in to access it.
