On April 22 we had a pipe elbow failure in our Emergency Department (ED) causing a significant water leak. Crews are working hard to repair damage as quickly as possible. Our ED is open, but several rooms are currently offline, which can increase wait times. Apologies for any inconvenience you may experience.
The Ambulatory Care Pathway Committee and the Psychiatry & Counseling Clinic have developed a new High Risk Action Plan – A Guide for How to Proceed With Patients Who Score as High-Risk Using the Columbia Suicide Severity Screening Scale (C-SSRS).
The action plan includes specific steps for what to do related to safety plans, medications, follow-up, and documentation. It addresses resources for psychiatric consultation, including how to reach these facilities and hours that they are available. There is guidance for information to give to the patient, and a list of local hospitals with psychiatric units.
