On April 22 we had a pipe elbow failure in our Emergency Department (ED) causing a significant water leak. Crews are assessing the impact and we are in the process of water abatement. Our ED is open, but several rooms are currently offline which could increase wait times. Some surgeries are also being rescheduled.

These pathways, created for both inpatients and outpatients undergoing a procedure in Valley's OR, Endoscopy suites, SPCU or Cardiovascular Interventional areas, were updated to help close any gaps that could occur related to COVID clearance and COVID+ test results. The primary goal is to continue to create the safest possible environment for staff and patients.
The pathway updates address:
- Pre-procedure assessment
- Patients who have tested COVID+
- COVID+ patients who are between 10 and 20 days post-test AND scheduled for a procedure
- Updated dot phrases: .COVIDPOSITIVESURGICALCLEARANCE and .COVIDPREOPSURGICALCLEARANCE
