The Desimone Levee on the Green River failed and is under repair. The hospital is above the flood zone and currently in no danger of flooding. We evacuated our Time Square and Kent Station Clinics and our Lind Avenue locations. Several locations are experiencing staffing issues due to severe traffic impacts. Impacted patients are being contacted to reschedule appointments. Please be safe, do not drive or walk through standing water, and call 9-1-1 if you need emergency evacuation assistance.

Rehab Medicine Referrals and Care Transition
Jill Williams, MD, Rehab Medicine Clinic, has announced her retirement on August 5, 2022. The recruitment and backfill of this position is currently on hold as Valley evaluates organization-wide operations and explores opportunities for collaboration and transformation.
Continued care for Jill’s patients is vitally important. The team is working with Valley’s Neuroscience Institute, UW Medicine Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation experts and community-based providers to transition care and help patients best meet their healthcare needs. A few key things to note:
- Dr. Zumsteg’s role/scope has not changed and will continue to focus on inpatient PM&R consultation
- After August 1, patients needing an outpatient PM&R physician should be referred by their PCP/other treating provider to a community-based PM&R clinic, such as Harborview Rehab Medicine or other appropriate care facility. Please VIEW the attached document for detailed referral information.
