The Desimone Levee on the Green River failed and is under repair. The hospital is above the flood zone and currently in no danger of flooding. We evacuated our Time Square and Kent Station Clinics and our Lind Avenue locations. Several locations are experiencing staffing issues due to severe traffic impacts. Impacted patients are being contacted to reschedule appointments. Please be safe, do not drive or walk through standing water, and call 9-1-1 if you need emergency evacuation assistance.

Dr. Barrett's Farewell Letter
Dear Colleagues, Patients, and Friends,
January 1 will mark the end of my 38-year joint replacement career at Proliance Orthopedic Associates (POA). It has been a true honor to care for so many patients at our practice, Valley Medical Center and more recently at our ASC, Proliance Surgery Center at Valley (PSCV). Over the last four decades, we have grown the joint replacement volume at VMC from a trickle in 1986 to close to 2000 in 2023. We opened the Joint Center at VMC in 1999 with the help of administration and dedicated staff.
I appreciate the support and dedication of the medical staff, referring physicians, and allied health professionals who made this all possible. We have a great group of surgeons at POA who will continue to provide state-of-the-art care for all the future joint replacement patients. I will continue to be involved in joint replacement consulting and education and look forward to the road ahead. It’s been a real pleasure to share this journey with all of you and I wish you all the best.
