On April 22 we had a pipe elbow failure in our Emergency Department (ED) causing a significant water leak. Crews are working hard to repair damage as quickly as possible. Our ED is open, but several rooms are currently offline, which can increase wait times. Apologies for any inconvenience you may experience.
Critical Drug Shortage: Iron Sucrose (Venofer)
There is a nationwide, critical drug shortage for iron sucrose (Venofer) and we have nearly exhausted our supply. EPIC alerts will be added to recommend alternative IV iron products, which include Ferrlecit (ferric gluconate), Feraheme (ferumoxytol), and InFed (iron dextran). For patients needing IV iron therapy in our Infusion Center, please utilize alternative agents when obtaining prior authorization and placing orders in therapy or treatment plans.
