The Desimone Levee on the Green River failed and is under repair. The hospital is above the flood zone and currently in no danger of flooding. We evacuated our Time Square and Kent Station Clinics and our Lind Avenue locations. Several locations are experiencing staffing issues due to severe traffic impacts. Impacted patients are being contacted to reschedule appointments. Please be safe, do not drive or walk through standing water, and call 9-1-1 if you need emergency evacuation assistance.

What the November 2025 Ballot Measure Means for Valley

8/19/2025

On August 4, the Board of Commissioners of Public Hospital District #1 of King County, dba Valley Medical Center unanimously approved a November 2025 levy lift ballot measure to address ongoing financial challenges and help stabilize local healthcare services.

If approved, Hospital Prop 1 would provide additional operating and capital funds for hospital and healthcare services. It authorizes a maximum regular property levy rate for collection in 2026 of $.75 per $1,000 of assessed value. This is a $.46 increase per $1,000 above the current amount. Valley Medical Center has not asked voters for a levy lift in 20 years.
