Strategic Goal for FY27 & Beyond: Expand Access to Emergency Services & Urgent Care

We are excited to announce Valley is exploring the expansion of services at Covington Clinic South with long-delayed plans for a Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) and Multispecialty Clinic. The project will go to Valley’s Board of Trustees for review and approval in December 2026, which would allow for a target opening in Spring 2028.

We plan to continue offering urgent care services during construction and the new FSED will incorporate urgent care operations going forward with no interruption in urgent care access. We are also continuing to work on further expansion of services including a potential second FSED and urgent care in Fairwood in addition to other opportunities for additional urgent care locations throughout the service area.
