    Christian Eaton, MD has been a member of the hospitalist team at Valley Medical Center since 2013. Dr. Eaton received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine.     Erin received her Master’s in Nursing Degree from the University of Washington School of Nursing in Seattle. She is board certified as an Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. She is a member of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.     Biography

    Raj Edula, MD, MRCP (UK), received his medical degree from Osmania Medical College, India, following which he completed Internal Medicine training working in several hospitals in England and Scotland and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians.

    He came to the United States in 2002 and completed Internal Medicine training at Case Western Reserve University (St Vincent’s Medical Center), Cleveland, Ohio, after which he practiced Internal Medicine and Hospitalist Medicine for seven years in Florida.

    He went on to complete a fellowship in Transplant Hepatology at Florida Hospital Transplant Center, Orlando and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Newark, New Jersey. He was on faculty at the medical school for two years as Assistant Professor in hepatology in between the fellowships. Dr. Edula has published original articles in reputed international gastroenterology and hepatology journals and has a special interest in liver diseases and colorectal cancer screening.

    Laura Eickelmann, PA-C, is a graduate of the University of Washington Physician Assistant Training Program. She began her medical education as a Firefighter/Paramedic, later attending the University of Washington/Medic One Paramedic Training Program at Harborview Medical Center. This led to her current role as a physician assistant. Her medical areas of interest include emergency and urgent care medicine.     Mark Emery, MD graduated with a B.Sc. degree from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, B.C. in 1989 and received his medical degree from Queen’s University; Kingston, Ontario in 1993.He completed his Internship at the Royal Columbian Hospital in 1994. He then completed his residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia and then completed a fellowship in Otology, Minneapolis, Minnesota 1998-1999.

    Rachel Epstein, ARNP, is a board-certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner. She has developed a clinical interest in palliative care and is passionate about helping patients to process their grief, anxiety, and loss when confronted with serious illness. She is committed to providing compassionate care, as guided by her patients’ goals and wishes. She values a team-based approach, to help her patients live well throughout illness — both during curative treatments and follow-up, as well as at the end of life.

    Rachel received her first bachelor’s degree in international political economy from Colorado College, and after completing a formative year with AmeriCorps she pivoted towards healthcare, ultimately receiving her MSN from Columbia University in New York. She worked for several years as an RN in a bustling trauma center Emergency Department before returning to her roots in Seattle.     Biography

    Victor Estacio, MD joined the hospitalist team at Valley Medical Center in 2013. His professional passions include the application of evidence-based medicine and patient empowerment to make informed decisions about their own healthcare. Dr. Estacio also values hospital-based interventions such as early mobilization to improve outcomes as well as post-discharge quality of life. Acute volume management in decompensated heart failure, renal failure, and decompensated end-stage liver disease are some of his special interests.

    Dr. Estacio obtained his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degree from University of the Philippines in Manila, Philippines, graduating within the top 10 of his medical school class. He joined his family in the United States after his graduation, where he trained in internal medicine for three years at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
