    Biography

    Matthew Hallowell, MD, MS, is interested in the breadth of medicine including sports medicine, pediatrics, women’s health and the diversity that comes with practicing family medicine. Dr. Hallowell was born in Southern California and completed his undergraduate training at UC Irvine in Biological Sciences and Physics. He moved to Washington, DC and earned a master’s degree at Georgetown in physiology. He then traveled down to the bayou for medical school at Tulane in New Orleans, LA and completed his residency at LSU-New Orleans in family medicine. His awards and accomplishments during residency included: Intern of the Year, Co-Chief Resident, and Chief Resident. After finishing residency, he packed up with his wife and newborn son to return to the West Coast to join family and friends in the awesome Seattle area.

    Donald Harris, MD, is particularly interested in aortic aneurysm repair, limb preservation for peripheral arterial disease, cerebrovascular disease, and venous disease. He recognizes that each patient’s vascular disease and needs are unique and complex, and is dedicated to providing advanced, personalized vascular care for his patients.     Jackie Hendrix, MD, is a family medicine physician at Valley Family Medicine. She grew up in Manhattan, Illinois, where she fondly recalls swimming, kayaking, and fishing at her family’s small cabin in Wisconsin. She attended St. Olaf College in Minnesota, where she studied biology and Spanish. She was drawn to medicine because of a desire to connect meaningfully with, and serve, others. Family medicine interested her because of its continuity and breadth, which allow her to interact with people of all ages and in different communities. She completed medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago, participating in Rush’s Family Medicine Leadership Program. This program fueled her passions for primary care and community medicine through mentorship, service learning, and clinical opportunities.     Daniela Herzog, MD, has a passion for family medicine that stems from developing long-term relationships with patients and their families.     Peter Hesslein, MD received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology and electrophysiology fellowship training at Texas Children's Hospital. Dr. Hesslein practiced at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children for six years and directed the pediatric arrhythmia service at the University of Minnesota for 17 years.     Biography

    Jane Hitti, MD, MPH, is a obstetrician/gynecologist at UW Medical Center and the Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinics in Yakima, Arlington and Valley Medical Center in Renton. She is also a UW professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine, an adjunct professor of Epidemiology and director of UW Medicine’s Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship program.

    Dr. Hitti believes every woman deserves to have a happy and healthy pregnancy, within the context of her own circumstances. She hopes to advocate effectively for the health of women and infants and encourages her patients to participate actively in their care. Dr. Hitti earned her MD at University of Vermont. She is board-certified in both maternal and fetal medicine, and obstetrics and gynecology. Her clinical interests include HIV and other infectious diseases in pregnancy, multiple gestation, prematurity prevention and ultrasound. Dr. Hitti enjoys spending time with her children, yoga, the outdoors, gardening and reading anything that will enhance her perspective on life.

    Biography

    Currently the Eye Clinic is not accepting new patient appointments except for those who are members of the Valley Health Plan or UW Medicine Accountable Care Network.

    Dr. Hollenbeck is an optometrist who largely works with primary care, hypertension, and diabetic screenings at Valley Medical Center.

    Dr. Hollenbeck has worked in private optometry and ophthalmology practices for 15 years in Redmond, Wash., Hawaii, and her home state of Minnesota prior to joining Valley Medical Center. She earned her bachelors degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. She completed her optometric degree at Pacific University's College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Ore.

    Dr. Hollenbeck provides comprehensive optometric care, specializing in eye exams, treating dry eye and allergies, as well as screening for cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration. She has experience working with ophthalmologists to assist in caring for patients for refractive surgery, cataract surgery and corneal transplants. She has also worked closely with cataract surgeons while in each state focusing on the health of the anterior portion of the eye and general ocular examinations.
