Sayaka Ashe, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in trauma-informed care and mindfulness-based therapy. She is an EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist and Consultant-in-Training (CIT), helping clients heal from the effects of past trauma, negative thought patterns, and limiting beliefs. Sayaka guides individuals in developing deeper self-awareness and meaning-making through therapy, supporting personal transformation and resilience.
Fluent in both English and Japanese, Sayaka offers culturally responsive care to individuals, couples, and families. She also provides consultation to licensed therapists working toward EMDR certification.
Born and raised in Japan, Sayaka began her professional journey with a Japanese company before relocating to the United States in 2006 to pursue a career in mental health. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Washington (Seattle) and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in 2012. Her clinical experience spans community mental health, a state psychiatric hospital, virtual therapy platforms, and private practice.
Sayaka’s multicultural perspective enriches her therapeutic approach, allowing her to offer clients diverse insights and help them choose the most compassionate and constructive path forward. Outside of her clinical work, Sayaka teaches yoga and shares mindfulness practices within her local community.
