Provider Bio

Brian Bertsche, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who cares for patients of all ages, with a particular interest in mental health and preventative care. He enjoys building longstanding relationships with patients and their families and believes in meeting patients where they are — educating and empowering them to make informed decisions about their own health care. He aims to help patients get ahead of potential health issues before they arise, and to provide the best possible care when they do.

Dr. Bertsche grew up in Chicago. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame before going on to receive his medical degree from Texas A&M University. He completed his family medicine residency at University of Utah Health. Prior to medicine, he worked as a middle school teacher, an experience that sharpened his ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and connect with people of all backgrounds.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Bertsche can be found on the basketball court or the ski slopes, and also enjoys ceramics and reading. He is also a passionate Chicago sports fan.

Dr. Bertsche is an LGBTQ+ ally and prescribes pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT).
