Growing up in a geographically underserved community on the Kitsap Peninsula, I’ve always thought about the connection between health, access to care, and the communities we live in. My fascination with this intersection led me to Oregon to receive my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in bioethics. I went on to attend medical school at Western University of Health Sciences COMP-NW, wherein my appreciation for the body’s structure-function relationship only deepened. Now, I am excited to be returning home to the Puget Sound area for my residency training.

I chose to practice family medicine because of its unique ability to build life-long relationships within communities. As an athlete and a personal trainer, I am especially passionate about preventive care and lifestyle medicine. During my medical education I received my Exercise is Medicine credentialling from the American College of Sports Medicine. Other clinical interests include Osteopathic Manipulation Medicine (“OMM”, also called “OMT” or “Neuromuscular Medicine”), psychology, sports medicine, and palliative care.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy reading Sci-Fi or horror novels, camping and backpacking throughout the PNW, cooking, tabletop board games, and deck-building card games. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my family and loved ones, including my wife and our four cats—Denali, Rainier, Leo, and Oliver.
