Cielo Chavez, MSN, APRN-BC, RNFA, has been involved in the multidisciplinary approach to vascular disease, focusing both on open and endovascular therapies. She maintains a strong interest in the treatment of endovascular aneurysm repair, endovascular and open treatment of peripheral arterial disease, varicose vein treatment, and dialysis access. She is compassionate and enthusiastic about serving others and eager to assist in providing extraordinary care for the local community.

Cielo is originally from Venezuela, and has called Miami, Florida her home for over two decades. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida International University in 2011. She possesses a robust background in critical care and post-anesthesia surgery care. After seven years as a registered nurse, she pursued and attained a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in adult-gerontology primary care from University of Miami in 2017. She earned her Adult-Gerontology Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Her scholastic accomplishments have been recognized with honors and memberships in organizations such as Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.

She started her career as a nurse practitioner in the field of vascular surgery and then went on to work as a breast surgical oncology nurse practitioner where she subsequently earned her certification as a Registered Nurse First Assist at the National Institute of First Assisting, and she practiced in the field of breast surgical oncology at the Miami Cancer Institute in Florida prior to joining Valley Medical Center. During her time in breast surgical oncology, she continued her involvement in the vascular surgery specialty.

She is passionate about giving back, she has actively participated and volunteered in nursing immersion projects and surgical/medical missions in the Dominican Republic and Haiti, contributing to the well-being of underserved populations. In her leisure, she enjoys traveling. She is an avid runner and finds great joy in paddle boarding and hiking. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
