Alexander Conner, MD, is trained in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as clinical medical genetics. He is passionate about providing patient and family-centered care in a range of conditions in women's health as well as genetic disorders. He is experienced in general and high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery, menopause, abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, ovarian cyst, uterine fibroids, pelvic organ prolapse, family planning, preventive care, and genetic disorders including risk-reduction. Dr. Conner’s training in medical genetics gives him a unique perspective and knowledge of conditions both rare and common, enabling him to provide a tailored and personal management plan to individuals and families alike. His approach emphasizes developing strong relationships with patients to collaboratively achieve their optimal health goals.
Dr. Conner was born and raised in the Southern United States. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Georgia Southern University, and earned his Medical Doctorate from Mercer University School of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then completed his residency and served as chief resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Virginia. There he received the Award in Excellence in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery from the American Urogynecologic Society and was certified in the Fundamental of Laparoscopic Surgery. Dr. Conner also published numerous articles, focusing on menopause management, hormone therapy, and the physiology of premature infants. He came to the Pacific Northwest to pursue additional training in Clinical Medical Genetics and Genomics at the University of Washington, and he loved it so much he decided to stick around. He fell in love with the beautiful summers of the area and chose to stay. Outside of work, Dr. Conner enjoys cooking, and spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling to explore new cultures and cuisines.
