Jayanti Clay, MD, has a strong interest in general and high-risk obstetrics and in providing excellent, compassionate, and evidence-based care to her patients. She sees patients for high risk and low risk obstetrics, well woman exams, treatment of cervical dysplasia, STDs, menopausal symptoms, abnormal bleeding, and many other gynecologic issues. She is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Clay grew up in Indiana. She completed her undergraduate training, medical doctorate, and her residency at Indiana University. In residency she was awarded the 4.0 Teaching award annually for four years, the Michael J McMahon Resident Teaching award and the John E Mackey Art of Medicine award. She was also nominated and inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society during this time. She has given several oral and poster presentations and received an award for her resident research project. She moved to Washington as a part of her service commitment to the National Health Service Corps and worked at Community Health Centers before joining Valley. She speaks Hindi as well as some Spanish and Tamil.

When away from her clinic, Dr. Clay is busy with her daughters and her two dogs. She has a passion for cooking and trying new foods, travelling, hiking, and reading.
