Michael Garcia, MD, has an interest in the cardiovascular complications of sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchiectasis. He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine. He has several publications surrounding his clinical research on COVID-19 and the clinical significance of troponin elevation among critically ill patients with sepsis.
Dr. Garcia graduated from University of Connecticut and received his medical degree at University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his pulmonary and critical care fellowship training at Boston University Medical Center where he completed an additional year of training in critical care clinical research. Outside of work, Dr. Garcia enjoys weightlifting, cycling, reading, traveling, relaxing at the beach and spending time with friends and family.
